ACE at Green Week 2014

ACE stand at Green Week

From 3 to 5 June 2014 ACE held a stand at Green Week (stand number 7). Our visitors had a chance to see how the beverage carton industry is putting the principles of resource efficiency and circular economy into practice from sourcing till end-of-life.

Throughout Green Week we performed live demonstrations of beverage carton recycling including samples of the different stages (e.g. pulping process by mixing shredded beverage cartons with water, making recycled paper). We also challenged visitors in a quiz to test their knowledge on resource efficiency, recycling and beverage cartons. We thank everyone who visited us at ACE stand and took part in ACE Quiz competition.

100% Sustainably sourced - How to make it happen?

5 JUNE 2014, 9:30 - 11:30, SALON ROUGE, BRUSSELS

The world is consuming more natural resources than the planet can provide. If Europe wants to remain a leading world economy, it will have to reduce its dependency on natural resources from the rest of the world, by moving towards a new model of economic growth based on massive breakthroughs in resource efficiency.

ACEUnilever and WWF invite you to a lively debate presenting the inside track on how we in the EU, can source resources better and more sustainably to contribute to a circular economy.

  • What do we understand by sustainable sourcing?
  • Where does it fit with resource efficiency and the circular economy?
  • What can we learn from initiatives to date?
  • Where to go next?
